NEWS FLASH!
Solo (Izzy x Kruger) was awarded her 2nd herding
title in November, the Junior Herding Title (JHD) and achieved her 1st herding title as a puppy in July!! This is Yandisa's
first puppy to achieve real herding titles (not to be confused with a Herding Instinct Certificate that many of them
have achieved).
Solo is a ridgeless ridgeback so is not allowed
to compete in conformation (although pretty enough) or lure coursing (even though she loves it!) so her owners, Renata and
Joe, didn't let that stop them and found another performance event for Solo. How cool is that, and how lucky for Solo!
She is also starting agility classes as well!
Brogan (Twyla x Neko) awarded Best
of Breed in Salisbury MD!!!
There ARE distinct differences in breeders of
Ridgebacks...differences that can mean a positive or negative experience for you, as a Ridgeback owner. So do your homework
on the breeder you are thinking of buying a puppy from BEFORE you even look at one of their puppies! Make sure the breeder
you are getting your puppy from has done THEIR homework in researching all aspects of their breeding program (i.e. health,
genetics, nutrition, vaccinations, behavioral, training, etc.).
I encourage you to utilize my "PUPPY INFO" section that gives you all the
questions you should ask to decide whether you are buying your puppy from a "distinctively different" breeder...it can
make a real difference!
Information is continually added to the website
to keep Ridgeback owners informed about new happenings with Yandisa puppies, as well as new health and training information...or
anything I believe you will find useful!
My hope is that it will provide any prospective
Ridgeback owner with tools to ensure they have the best experience possible when deciding to live with this wonderful breed.
